Q: How to remove profile from avast vpn that is missing?

Hello Apple Support and Apple Community,

I managed to install avast VPN secureline on an ipad first generation, version 5.1.1 (PB206) and for a while it worked fine, however after initiating a wifi connection to 5.0 from 2.4, it stopped working. After deleting the app from the ipad in my attempt to reinstall, it shows "Root Certificate" manual installation of the trusted certificate on the ipad it gives the following conclusion.

"Profile failed to install. The Profile "Manual Connect" could not be installed. OK (dialog box)

Attempts to uninstall the profile from the ipad shows "no profiles are currently installed" and that profile pane is empty as per the directions located here https://www.avast.com/en-ca/faq.php?article=AVKB142#artTitle are showing the above message. And As per the instructions at How to delete an app that has a configuration profile on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

At this time I'm not able to install or delete that avast app from the settings which continue to show VPN tab and configurations which do not work as indicated by the following message ones turned on "VPN Connection Negotiation with the VPN server failed" OK

Question:

How can I remove this app tab in settings in the ipad, in order to start all over again.

Note: I have done the following.

- installed that app (avast)

- re-installed that app (avast)

- removed that app (avast)

- reset all settings

- reset network settings

- reset home screen layout

- reset location settings

- reboot the ipad with a soft boot
