I have an problem with icloud photo sharing the pictures are NOT sorted by the taken sate but by upload date (which is very unlogical for an Album from an travel,..)

Dear All !

I hope you can help me here - i have an problem with the icloud photo sorting in shared albums

we took pictures at an travel with iphone5s and iphone6 + an Nikon J5 date and time on all correct

loadin was don ewhilst travelling and at home but the sorting is mixed seems to be by loading date

(even taken only the iphone pictures as an reference) (all on iOS 9.3.2)

do you know either a way that the album gets re-synchronized or an software where i could sort the photos in

and then re-upload to get the sorting in rder as by taken date and time ...

many thanks in advance - that would be a great help (the gibbest album with that problem is the honeymoon ;-) )

Shared albums are essentially streams of photos. They will always show the photos in the order you add them to tthe album. If you want your photos to appear in a specific order you have to add them to the album individually, one by one, exactly in the order you want them. You cannot add all photos from an album at once - that will give unpredictable results.

So, create a new album with your photos. Then ctrl-click the album and select "Keep arranged by Date, oldest first" to sort the album. Now add each photo from the album to the shared album individually. It will be a lot of work.

many thanks - so i have an solution ( but yes it will be really a lot of work

crazy design idea by apple - as i guess we all use the shared albums in the

same way the people who are on holiday together can post ... so that will

then always end up unsorted ... )

Apple should not have renamed the shared photo streams to "Shared albums", without making them true albums. The name is simply misleading. We expect an album to be sorted, but the shared albums are just a way to drop new photos into a stream of photos and they will appear as posted.
