Anyone with your iCloud account password can log in using the find my iPhone app. The app does not notify you when it is used. An iCloud account password should not be shared with others.
Once you have shared it, those with the password can login from an Apple device, a Windows or Linux web browser, an Android web browser - they have any number of ways of accessing your account other than the find my iPhone app. Basically, they can use your account exactly as if they were you.
