Q: Can I change my keyboard physical keys?

My questions is not about software settings, but hardware instead.

I would like to understand if I can change the keyboard keys of the MacBook Pro to another language/keyboard layout.

Thanks in advance, Nuno

Exactly what language do you have now and what language do you want to change it to?

It is unlikely to be practical to do this.  Replacing a keyboard can be expensive.  Stickers and skins are normally more realistic alternatives (or selling what you have and buying a new machine with the keyboard you want).

Tom, thanks for your swift response.

I would like to change from US to PT (Portuguese) keyboard - it's only about 20 keys or so that are different.

Real PT keyboards also have one key more than US, and the keys at the right edge are differently shaped and arranged.   See

In any case, if you really want to change keys, it would be best to contact an Apple service facility to ask about the possibility and cost.
