MBP Retina 15" Won't power on (Suspected Logic Board Failure)

Hi,

So I bought a MBP Retina 15" paying nearly all of my savings (INR 1.85 Lakhs if I remember clearly) for it hoping it would last me atleast 5 - 6 years as APPLE is known for their durability and what not!

So around last month one fine morning my charger stops working! I thought it was a power surge problem (later foundon the forums that many people have had the same problem within a year of purchase)

I decided to get it replaced I called up many Apple Resellers in Kerala and they didnt have the 85W Mag safe 2 in stock!

It took me almost a month to get a charger due to it not being in stock. And obviously my macbook ran out of battery during this period.

When I turned it on, the Magsafe 2 lit up green and then orange... I waited for a bit and then tried powering it on. No go. Waited for it to get fully charged and still no go. Tried SMC, Force start and all that but no go.

So I took it to an Apple Authorized service center in Kochi and they give me this report :

Current Status : Ready for delivery

Problem Reported : Not powering on, data is not committed, need to check internal condition

Diagnosis : Found machine not powering and not charging. Machine tested with known good adapter- no go. machine tested with known good IO board and cable in minimal configuration-found same issue. Hence found issue with Logic Board. Need replace logic Board for further diagnosis.

And a bill of Rs. 54,000 to go with it. I wouldn't mind spending this ridiculous amount of money to repair it after my intended period of use which was 5 years. In under 2 years a laptop dying on you is unacceptable not just apple.. By any standards. I've used Hp for 3 years (sold it) and Acer for another 3.5 years (sold) with no issues.

I've read on the forums that if I disconnect and reconnect the (Irremovable) battery it might get it to start working. But Since Apple has so inconveniently designed this laptop so that you can only get it serviced/repaired at their stores where they charge u a bomb even if you don't get ur problem fixed.I sent the service center a mail asking them to do the above fix and they are saying that it's the Logic Board that has failed.

I don't know what to do! I'm so annoyed right now!!😠

I want to take this to the concerned Authorities. But I don't know how to!

Apple needs to do something about this. It's not just me I have seen plenty of other users out there complaining about the same issue across various models!!
