I cant update itunes

I cant get the current update onto my laptop running windows 7, every time I try to update it , it says there's something missing so unable to update, and when I try to burn a cd error: 4251 appears and ends my attempt to burning so I keep wasting lots of new cds trying to do this. Any ideas what my problem is?
