Q: Once I upgraded to the new phone all my music I had purchased through Apple Music and iTunes Store is not gone but unplayable. *** !!

WWent from a 5s to a 6s iPhone however my music once I upgraded is all there but unplayable. Anyone know why ? I've got a sneaky feeling it's sitting in the effing cloud and only playable if connected to wifi. If that's the case that's theft as I've paid for this music already

iPhone 4, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

    Hi, justinfromdurban!

Congratulations on your new iPhone 6s!

Based on the information you provided in your post, I am understanding you are seeing your music content displayed on the phone, but are unable to play it. I listen to my music on the go all the time, so I know it's important for it to be saved directly onto your iPhone. I'm happy to help you get that content back.

When you get a new iPhone, your content must be transferred to it from your previous iPhone. This can be done one of a few ways, depending on where the content originally came from. For your previous iTunes purchases, you have the option of streaming that content over Wi-Fi or cellular data from the cloud (to save space on your iPhone) or to download it over a Wi-Fi connection so you can listen to it when you don't have a data connection. The article linked below will walk you through downloading the music to your new iPhone.

    Download your past purchases

Happy listening, and enjoy that new iPhone!
