Q: Music in Library

I have purchased  large amount of music, but very few songs Play through unless I am connected to wifi. I don't feel as though I should have to use data to listen to my music. Not how any other iPod works. How can I make it so that I can listen to all of the songs in my library?

    Hi, alyssas0000!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, I understand you are an Apple Music member, and wish to download content directly onto your iPhone so you don't have to stream over Wi-Fi or cellular data. I listen to music on the go all the time and don't always have access to data myself, so I know how convenient having that content stored locally can be. I'm happy to help!

The "Download songs, albums, and playlists to listen to offline" will walk you through how to get content saved directly on your iPhone so you can listen whenever you want, wherever you are--with or without data.

Add music from the Apple Music catalog to your library on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

For your iPhone and other iOS devices, the instructions are as follows:

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    1. In the Music app, find the item that you want to download.
    2. Tap the More Options icon   to the right of the song, album, or playlist name.
    3. Tap the Download icon  to the right of the item's artwork. If you see a  instead of the download icon, the item isn't in your iCloud Music Library. Tap the  to add the item to My Music, then tap the download icon to download the item to your device.

Songs and albums appear under My Music > Library. Playlists appear under My Music > Playlists.

    Happy listening!
