Q: Flash Using All Memory

I have a 2016 MacBook, with the M7processor.  When I'm using Safari, all my memory is used up by Adobe Flash.  This is shown in the activity monitor.  I get stuck with the spinning beachball and Safari becomes unusable.  I have a few pinned tabs, which are philly.com, nytimes.com, macrumors.com, teamsnap.com and disboards.com.

I took the machine to the Genius Bar and was basically told that I bought a computer with a mobile processor and this is what I get.  They had no real solution other than to unpin the tabs.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash so I'm running the latest version (22.0.0.192) and I'm running the latest version of El Capitan.

I'm just surprised that the Apple response was to say the computer can't handle Safari.

Any insights into this issue, would be appreciated.

Thanks.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.

Then click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings.

Then quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I had the original first release Macbook and this didn't happen with that model, I now have the latest model with the highest spec and have this issue - Flash starts at around 130MB and grows use up all of my memory, I don;t think the genius bar should be saying that this because of the mobile processor.

Uninstall Sophos. It is a worthless scam on the Mac. All it does is cause problems. In addition, it is crashing which indicates it is not installed correctly anyway.
