Q: I have the iPod touch 4th, want to go to Touch 6th.
I have a 4th gen Touch 64gb but it's starting to crap out on me, so I'm looking at getting a new 6th gen Touch 128gb.
I only use iTunes for my music files & have no interest on ever using Apple Music; I don't want to incur the data usage. All of my future music file purchase's would be from iTunes as well, I want to keep using a Touch as my stand-alone music device for my car, home stereo system, etc. Anyone see a problem transferring my current library into a 6th gen? I've only ever owned this one iPod that I have now....I've never upgraded before & want to make sure I will be able to transfer from the old to the new (if I decide to buy the 6th gen).
I've also heard rumors that Apple will be scrapping iTunes in the near future, forcing all of us to go to Apple Music....anybody have any info on that?
Thanks!
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.4

No idea what apple may or may not do (and can't speculate here anyway)
However I've upgraded from a 4th gen to a 5th gen, then the 5th gen to a 6th gen seamlessly every time
just be sure to back it up via itunes, then when you set up your new one choose to 'restore from the backup of....' (your old one) and your new one will be a near clone of the old one.
