Q: Apple Music Family Membership

My boyfriend had zero music on his phone, or apple account. Not even 1 song - so I upgraded my Apple Music to a Family Membership so that he could access music whenever he wanted (including mine).

Reading around, does this also mean we now have a shared iCloud, i.e. any purchases he makes in the app store will go via my account too? Or is this kept seperate?

Thank you!

    Hi, GeorgieWorgie!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! Based on the information you've provided, I am understanding you have some questions regarding Family Sharing, specifically whether purchased items will be available on both the devices you are using Family Sharing with. I use Family Sharing myself; it's super convenient, and I'd be happy to provide you with some information on how it works!

One of the great features of Family Sharing is to allow you to share purchased content with your family, and the following article will let you know how you can do that.
