Q: Windows and Apple?

Hello,

My name is Perry i'm from the Dutch amd i have a big question about the performance of the (link) Macbook Pro 15 Retina and my Windows 8.1 Desktop. I work 20/7 for a company that make films in the agriculture world. For a new tractor or combine. I saw a guy that have a MacBook pro retina that laptop was alot faster than my desktop.. how is this possible that a desktop with more capacity on paper is slower than a one with a 2.5Ghz turbo boost 3.7Ghz is faster?

My current desktop specs

  • Windows 8.1 @64
  • CPU 3.60Ghz up to 4.00Ghz Watercooled
  • RAM 16GB 1866Mhz
  • GPU NVIDIA GTX 760 2GB
  • SSD 256gb + 1 TerraByte

Macbook Pro Retina 15

  • OS X El Captain
  • CPU 2.50Ghz up to 3.70Ghz Air-cooled
  • RAM 16GB 1600Mhz
  • GPU Intel Iris pro  / AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2GB
  • SSD 512GB and external hard drive of him..

His macbook pro was expensive hi said but look I'm quicker than your desktop... and that rendering..

Who can explain?
