Q: Don't want to sync, just want to save some photos to iCloud.

Unfortunately, that only works in the instance that the laptop you wish to use is also logged into the same iCloud account ( which this isn't) AND the single laptop is always within range of the ATV, which it won't be. I just need to upload photos to iCloud other than by sync...

Jul 12, 2016 2:05 PMby Drew Reece,I guess the other option is to make a new user account on your Mac & set that up with the new Apple ID you created. Add the photos to that user account (drop them in the users 'public' folder within their home folder).
That should allow you to send images to that iCloud account & pull them back to the ATV.

It seems convoluted & is prone to issues - avoid activating automatic iTunes downloads for that other Apple ID & it should work OK. iTunes will lock a Mac/ PC to an account for 90 days if you use auto purchase downloads - so be wary of any dialogs that popup.
