I'm trying to make a ringtone and for every tutorial it says I have to to convert the song the AAC. At first I couldn't find it in my drop bar. I looked at my import settings and they are exactly what other discussions and websites said they should be(Import using: AAC encoder).But I still can't find it. What can I do to fix this?

The option to convert is now on the File drop-down menu (it's no longer available via control-clicking a track). If you have AAC selected on the Import Settings on the General tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) then select/highlight the track that you want to convert and use File > Convert > Create AAC Version :
