Jul 13, 2016 9:18 AM in response to jakeyboy29by Johann.B,Hello jakeyboy29,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Congratulations on your new MacBook Pro! Getting a new computer is very exciting. And I'm sure it will be even better once your email is setup in the Mail app. I'll be more than happy to assist you with this.
Use the article Use Mail on your Mac to help set up mail on your Mac, specifically, this section:
Set up Mail
If you haven't already set up your email account, you're prompted to set it up when you first open Mail.
Choose your email provider from the list, then click Continue.
Enter your name, email address, and email password, then click Create.
If necessary, Mail might ask you for additional settings. After you finish creating your account, you can add additional accounts by choosing Mail > Add Account.
For Outlook/Hotmail accounts, choose 'Add Other Mail Account...' and it will prompt you for the email settings.
If you need to verify your email settings, these resources will help:
Mail settings you might need from your email provider
Have a great day!

Jul 13, 2016 8:21 PM in response to Johann.Bby jakeyboy29,worked fine this time, thank you. The only problem is when i add a second hotmail account it will not let me as it states that "the email already exsists". After checking it is the same email that my icloud has. Any reason why i dont have a @icloud email like eveyone else?
or is it possible to change the icloud email address to a @icloud address so i can then use my hotmail address purely for my personal emails like i do on my iphone?
