I keep getting a notice that my podcast is temporarily unavailable

I have subscribed to a podcast and can see several years worth of the podcasts on my iPhone 6s using the Podcast ap, but no matter what I try, I get a message that the podcast is temporarily unavailable. This is in spite of be able to successfully access them previously. Does this have something to do with iCloud and should I turn that balky service off?
