Jul 14, 2016 10:41 PM in response to Johann.Bby vsings,I turned on home sharing, now I can't do ANYTHING at all with my iphone playlists!!! I can update the playlist in iTunes, but it won't update on the phone. i can't delete or edit anything on the phone now!
I have never been thrilled with ITunes, but this update could not be less effecient if it tried. I can't believe I have to jump through all these hoops just to use a playlist! And in this day and age when you can store eveyrthing on the cloud and use info on multiple devices, iTunes only allows you to sync on ONE device!
Terrible.

Home Sharing shouldn’t affect your ability to sync content from iTunes to your iPhone for use when you’re start Home Sharing. Turn it off again and see if you're able to add/edit/delete playlists on your phone.
Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB -- This article will give you more detail along with screen shots of how to sync. The first time, select just one of the playlists in iTunes you'd like on your iPhone. Your other music will be cleared but your backup will make sure you can load it back on your phone. And, since the iTunes interface is different, here's some help in understanding how things work in our newest version. -- iTunes Help
After you've synced just the one playlist, check your iPhone and make sure you're able to play it. If you're able to now, select all of the music in iTunes you want included on your iPhone and sync it again.
Restore your device to factory settings -- If that didn't help, then there may be a problem with your iPhone software or hardware. The way to learn which, you'll restore your iPhone to factory settings, then see if you're able to sync your playlists. Using the settings on your iPhone just removes your personal data. Using iTunes on your PC will completely wipe your phone to install a fresh copy.
The first time through, set it up as a new iPhone. Log into iTunes & App Store and iCloud, then see if you're able to sync as you should. If everything is working again as it supposed to, you can restore the backup you made earlier and sync exactly what you want from your PC to your phone again.
Restore your iPhone -- Once you've restored your backup, make sure everything is still working fine. If it isn't, then there's something in your backup that's causing the problem.
If you've tried everything above and it's still not working correctly, you should have your iPhone evaluated at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can locate which is closest to you using this link. -- Find LocationsTake care!

Jul 19, 2016 11:12 PM in response to becky_s22by vsings,Nope. I was finally able to view the sync screen by clicking the tiny phone at the top by the menu, but tonight the phone doesnt recognize my iTunes login (AGAIN) and I can't get the sync screen to open, so I have no control over what syncs.
Lovely.

Jul 20, 2016 7:53 AM in response to vsingsby SnickZ.,It appears we have some progress then. Good job sticking with it!
I'd like you to confirm that you're using the correct ID on your iPhone. There are three ways you can go about it.
1. Sign in to the iTunes Store on your Mac or PC -- This will confirm you're using the correct Apple ID.
2. Apple ID -- Once you're certain of the correct ID, use this link to make sure you're able to sign in.
3. Sign in to the iTunes Store on your iPhone -- Then try to sign into the iTunes & App Store on your iPhone
If you're able to sign in, see if your iPhone and iTunes sync like they're supposed to.Take care!
