    Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, I am understanding that you would like some clarification on the gestures compatible with iBooks. I know that gestures can make using your Mac even more convenient, and want to make sure you have all the information you need to use them with iBooks!

     

    The article linked below will show you what keyboard shortcuts and Trackpad/Magic Mouse gestures will work in the iBooks app on your Mac.

    In reviewing the article, you may notice that some gestures you can use elsewhere on the Mac do not work within the iBooks app itself. The gestures that do work within iBooks, and what they do in the app, are as follows (from the above article):
