Q: Quick Time makes primary screen blank

When I use Quick Time to play ProRes clips on the secondary monitor or a projector, my primary screen becomes blank. This is really annoying, as I can't cue up my next clip. I have to use Quick Time 7 to circumnavigate this problem.

Is there a solution to this?

Not as present.  What do you need to do on your Mac while playing video to a projector?

I play a variety of short clips in a small movie theatre. My second monitor is a 4K projector, and once I play one clip as full screen, my desktop becomes black. I can't cue next clip, and the quick time does't have playlist that I can pre-load.

VLC does have a play list, but it doesn't play 4K clips.

Apple's approach to take options from the end users is not helping...
