Q: Powerbook Pismo display assembly replacement source?

A fat person sat on my Pismo.

It bent the clamshell and broke the LCD panel.

I can still use with an external display.

Where should I shop for a replacement clamshell?

There is a Pismo display listed. I think this is the place from whom I bought PB parts from my friends' collection of WallStreets. They have been around a long time.

Well, just peeked on eBay and the old Pismos still commanding a high price:

There is a listing for a dispaly though.

Ha! I'm with you. I need to ask a question to get rid of the iPad badge I have. Yes, I have an iPad--no, I'm no expert on them. What I know would fit inside ...well, an iPad!

I'm at my volunteer job right now and I've been up since 5AM. Let me rest up and look at the rest of this from home later today. The new format is a eye-taxing on the 13-inch MacBook Pro that I have with me today.

I searched that site and cannot find any explanation of "grades." I thought I could assume that "B" was "one step below" but now I'm not sure. When I bought from them several years ago there were no grades assigned the parts for which I was shopping (Wallstreet processor boards).

It is now a moot point because I see that they have neither display in stock.

Moot indeed.
I will keep eyes on both that site and eBay (eBay return policy is the only reason I would even consider buying from an individual or small business)
