Q: iTunes Match is a hoax, or what?
Hello everyone! I uploaded a music base (Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl) on iTunes and I was recognized as a "matched" to the corresponding track on the iTunes Store.
Then I think: "woow ... is to see that I have the opportunity to download the vocal version!"
Gate the song and execute the download ... And in the end, surprise: I will always download the backing track, with the difference of the resolution 256k!
At this point I had a doubt, but there was no talk of being able to download the iTunes Store files even if local files had been ripped from a CD? In the end, it seems that iTunes Match instead behaves just like a bit rate converter ... Correct me if I'm wrong!

HI,
ITunes match does not convert your original tracks. Your iTunes library is scanned to determine what can be matched or needs to be uploaded. The matched tracks should be the equivalent version as available from the iTunes Store. One of the features of iTunes Match is that for matched tracks, you can delete lower bit rate tracks and replace them with 256 Kbps AAC versions. The version you now have will be the same as the on from the iTunes Store.
