Mac OS X
Q: El Cap, wifi error 3905 on previously OK connection
Hi,
My Macbook running 10.11.5 suddenly dropped the WIFI connection citing a message "Cannot join WIFI network X, please move closer" or something along those lines.
My other devices still connect. This device has always connected. As far as I'm aware no one has tampered with any settings. One moment I'm using it, the other moment it's faulty.
When trying to connect through the command line, I get the following error code:
com.apple.wifi.apple80211API.error error -3905
The only answers I can find are regarding Apple TV and *seem* not applicable.
In the meantime, I have tried:
- restarting macbook
- deleting all network related settings in /Library/
- restarting modem
- changing modem channel
- resetting PRAM
- resetting SMC
To no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?
