Q: Camera Shutter Closed Unless I'm in Selfie Mode

I have an iPhone 5C circa 2014. Some time back (honestly don't know when) I upgraded to iOS 9.3.2 and the new "carrier" updates. When I did this my "flashlight" function started complaining about being too hot and not working (even when it was inside an air-conditioned building.) Then my camera started "not" working on occasion, in other words it was not reliable - turns out what I've been experiencing was the shutter being closed on the back camera and when I switch to the front camera it'll do selfies and selfie-video just fine. I have cleared everything off, reset to "new phone" status and still no camera from the back side so I'm going back to my old restore (still 9.3.2 iOS).

Anybody got some idea of what happened? I want to say I've exceeded my 2 year contract with Verizon and now the iOS knows I should be getting my new iPhone 6+ but I'm really liking this cheap monthly phone bill!

Ciao, Dave
