Q: AppleID locked or something

i tried to restore my iphone 5, and when going through the activation process it asked me for my appleid and password. i put those in, and then it says that i can not use that appleid to activate the phone. awhile ago my account was hacked by someone in france, but i recovered it. but since then i cannot get the phone to recognize that i have changed my apple id password. its infuriating that i cant contact support because i cant call them because i cant activate my phone now and use it. please help.

    Hi Alavashus!

I understand you're trying to activate your iPhone.  I know it's important to be able to use your iPhone, and I'm happy to go over some information for you.  In order to activate your iPhone, you will need to gain access to your previous Apple ID.  The reason for this is the iCloud Activation Lock feature that prevents people from activating a lost or stolen device.  If it's not accepting your new Apple ID password, you will need to contact Apple support by another phone to assist further. This has to be done via phone for the security of your Apple ID.  Below, you'll find a link that explains iCloud Activation Lock, as well as a link with worldwide telephone support phone numbers.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Cheers!
