Using Office Suite on an Ipad Mini

I would like to have the ability to create and/or edit an existing MS Word of Excel document on my Ipad Mini. I installed the Office Suite free edition and tried it. I would display Excel and Word documnets just fine but would not allow me to edit or create one. No keyboard appeared. If I pay for the Premium edition will that allow me to create and edit or do I need to look elsewhere?

From what I read about Office 365 for the iPad it will no work on the mini. Besides, I don't have any of the 5 allowed 365's free to install it.

Thank you very much.

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.2

The options between the Free-, Pro- & Premium version are different.

I mean: The Pro- & Premium version have more option than the Free version.

Try first the Free version, than you can always upgrade to the Pro- & Premium version.

I use here the Pro version.

Hi,

Just have a look in iTunes Store & there is an update.

Rectification:

Search in iTunes Store for OfficeSuite Pro, it is now on sale for €. 2,99

The latest version is v.4.6 update on 07-07-'16.

Search in iTunes Store for the Premium version, iTunes Store will show the Free version.

Than able to sign up for a subscription for the Premium version.

See the In-App Purchase.

Note that two different things are being discussed in this thread. OfficeSuite is not Microsoft Office. You can download Microsoft Word, Excel etc from the App store by search for the individual applications (e.g., "Word", "Excel" etc) and you can create and edit documents using them for free. Most features are available at no charge on iPads other than the iPad Pro but there are some features that are not available without a subscription.
