What's the easiest way to import a photo from the Photos app into PhotoScape X? I can't seem to find a simple way to do it. I have to do all kinds of copying / pasting to finally get it in there (I don't even remember how I did it the last time). There must be an easy way.

Never mind, I found the answer by poking around the app and finding a "help" video on the subject. Feeling stupid.
The only way to import photos into any other Photo manager is to export from Photos (file menu ==> export) and then import into the desired program
for photos editors (rather than photo managers) you can use the external editors for Photos extension from the app store -- Photo Editing Extensions for Photos for Mac
