Q: When signing on to the App Store it states, "cannot connect to the iTunes Store." Wifi is working fine. What do I need to do?

I'M on my iPad trying to connect to the iTunes Store. I type in my information and it just states' " cannot connect to the iTunes Store." My wifi is working fine, I've checked my settings, just I must be missing something.
