Can I use Compressor 4 to without Final Cut?
I used iMovie to create a film. Can I now use Compressor 4 to transcode to specific specs without using Final Cut Pro?

Yes. Compressor gives users access to the same selection of codecs, formats and settings that are used in FCP X – as well as some that Final Cut doesn't have.
