my iPad is permanently disabled how do I reset it back to normal?

Someone got a hold of my iPad and has disabled it to the point where I can no longer access it, how do I restore it back to normality?

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.2

You have to restore the device now in order to enable it. There are three different methods described in this in article. Try them all if necessary.

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support


You will be erasing the device so if you don't have a backup, you will have to start all over again. It is too late to backup now.
