There may be some information (if unit is not too old) available by use

of a Serial Number lookup site; one such as 'powerbookmedic' offers:

https://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php

a duckduckgo search may help; there's other less known ones:

not as detailed: 'Klantenservice Serienummers'

http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html

Otherwise you may be able to track down the ancient details by use

of EveryMac.com site where general details of the iBook dualUSB

are listed; but not precisely... a 'Build Model identifier' gets you close.

The first iBook (white) G3 dualUSB 12-inch model was the May 2001 build.

Hopefully an online 'serial number lookup service' may be helpful. 🙂
