Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
That document used to be a lot more informative and would actually list the valid payment forms for each country. Do you know if a Visa debit card is accepted somewhere if it states that? Just displaying "Visa" when it means credit card only can be misleading.
Amma4611: It helps to state in which country you live when asking questions about the iTunes Store as each country has its own rules.

They have to have the VISA logo on them to be used as forms of payments. You cannot just use a regular debit card as its for making payments at a physical store.
You can also open a PayPal account and link your bank account to that and then use PayPal as a form of payment. This would help you make your purchases and you wouldn't have any problems.
Hope this helps.

Jul 15, 2016 3:27 AM in response to Limnosby Amma4611,I don't think so, my friends using apple products aren't having this issue. Some of them we use same bank and same sort of cards but still.

Jul 15, 2016 3:42 AM in response to Amma4611by CVGAnton,It may not be Apple then. I would suggest calling your bank and letting them know your card isn't being accepted any longer.
I had a similar issue with another online store that took debit cards and then all of a sudden it stopped. For me it turned out that for my bank I had my street name "Toronto Street" but in the account info page I typed "Toronto St" and this caused an issue.
Also if the card expired or was replaced the 3 digit code on the back will be different.
Hope this helps shed some more insight.
