Q: A1103 New HDD and Ram can't boot
Hi.
I have a Mac mini A1103. when i got it it had the flashing folder with question mark. i have had a macbook earlier where this problem was solved by installing a new hdd. so i ordered a new 160GB IDE 2.5" 5400RPM and 1GB Corsair Valueselect DDR1 333MHz hoping this will help me get the mini running and preforming a bit better than with 512mb Ram.
When i boot the mini after swapping hdd and ram i still see the same flashing folder. i can reset the NVRAM on startup, enter target diskmode? (i think) and Startup manager.
when i enter startup manager i see the following screen
some times i get from this screen to Open Firmware screen where i can use some commands like reset-vram reset-all rebot and so but some times i just get stuck at this screen.
any one have any sugestions on what is wrong and what i can try next? i dont have the original boot dvd but i have a bootable usb with IOS 10.6 and a dvd with IOS 10.6 (not original) but i cant get it botting from any of this devices.
Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6), A1103
