Q: Contact ONLY exchange account under .mobileconfig
Dearest forumers and support community people.
I'm in need of a person with amazing experience/knowledge on creating a custom .mobileconfig file to be mass deployed out to a bunch of users.
Back story/info:
* We currently control our iOS devices in the company through Cisco Meraki.
* Each device has an Owner set with corresponds to our own exchange details for email. The settings for the exchange are deployed when the idevice is enrolled onto Meraki.
We have a need to add an additional email account onto the iOS devices. We would like to use another exchange account to do this which in itself is easy enough to do through meraki, but as we would like to use solely to synchronise contacts across and not the mail/notes/calendar options, this proves a bit of a challenge!
I've reached out to Meraki about it - they've advised I might be able to get this done through Apple Configurator, by creating a customer .mobileconfig file then deploying this through Meraki down to the devices. Deploying through meraki i have covered, but creating the mobileconfig file is where im a bit stuck, especially adding an exchange account and customising the toggles to have only the contacts on and everything else off.
In short, I need to find a way to turn off the other exchange features through the means of the profile:
- Is such a thing possible
- Do you any instructions on how this could be implemented?
Your time and response is much appreciated,
William Montgomery
