Q: Aperture events on iPhone

So I messed up really hard, I synced photos from iTunes through aperture's photo library but when I came back from my trip this week I migrated everything to the photos app and deleted the aperture library. The issue I have now is that the events from my Mac photos are still on my iPhone though iTunes but I know of no way of deleting the events that I currently still have on my iPhone? Would I have to delete everything on my phone to get rid of the synced events or is there a way I'm missing??

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.3.2

You cannot delete synced photos directly on the iPhone. Sync again with iTunes and select a different source- some album in your new Photos library or a folder in your Pictures folder, or select nothing. The new sync will replace the previously synced Phototos.
