Q: ID confliction

My Apple ID and ICloud ID are not the same and Apple Support has tried and failed to sort it out, still waiting for them to get back to me after a senior person has tried to sort it out.  My previous email which is no longer attached to my account is being prompted on my iphone and I cant reset my phone or turn off find my phone, nightmare!  Any ideas...

There is no such thing as an iCloud ID.

If you mean you changed the address you used for your ID but forgot to sign out on your phone first, you can sign out with your old address and current password then log back in with your updated details.

The answer is that you do have to sign out completely from your ID that is attached to your old e-mail. It is still attached to AN Apple ID, and that Apple ID, through iCloud, is attached to your phone.
