How to Convert Blu-ray to ISO

Hello,

I want to make backups of my Blu-ray / DVD collection and put them on a Network drive.

because my movies disks become worn with use of handeling.

I have a WD 4tb. Mybook network drive for storing movies.

I have tested it and movies play okay via Wifi.

Can someone recommend the best way convert Blu-rays / DVD's?

I was thinking about converting them to ISO images.

This works fine for MS-Windows because the video player app I use in MS-Windows can play ISO movies.

For the Mac I use Mac blu-ray player however I do not know if it can play ISO movies.

I want to save disk space so I want to convert the DVD movies to as small a file format as possible without losing any

movie quality.

Can someone suggest the best way to do this?
