Q: Touchscreen not working when on a flat surface - enough reason for a replacement?
I've had my iPod touch since last Christmas - so only 7 months - and while I have handled it carefully and not dropped it in water, etc, the touchscreen refuses to work (most of the time) when I put my iPod down on a flat surface. It's not a big hindrance but still something abnormal, so would a replacement be in order?
iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 9.3.2

Only Apple can say whether or not the issue qualifies for a replacement.
