    Hello there, stojef2014!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues with Continuity in Messages on the Mac. I know how important it is to be sure messages are showing properly on all devices. Check out this article here with steps to Get help using Continuity with your iOS device or your Mac.

Check these settings on your Mac:

    • Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and make sure that Wi-Fi is on.
    • Make sure that your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on each iOS device and compare the network name with the one on your Mac.
    • Go to the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and make sure that Bluetooth is on.
    • Choose Apple menu > System Preferences. Click General, then select "Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices." If you don't see this setting, your Mac might not support Handoff.
    • Open the FaceTime app. Go to FaceTime > Preferences and turn on Calls From iPhone.
    • Go to Apple menu > System Preferences and click iCloud. Click Sign Out, then sign in again.

Also, it looks like you are running 10.11.3 on your computer. If that is accurate, please go to the App Store and check for updates and install the latest OS version for the computer.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the response, but I have a 2012 Mac; continuity isn't available for it. I'm actually running 10.11.5. Nothing has changed, not my network, not my OS. It just stopped syncing. What else can I do?

    Hi,

Tell us which IDs are being used on which devices ?

For instance On the iPhone in Settings > Messages Send and Receive is the iPhone Number ticked and in use ?

    Is the Apple ID ?

There are circumstances when the iPhone number becomes unticked (even though you can not select this to do it yourself).

If this has happened Sign out/remove the Apple ID then shut down the app.

On Restarting the apps allow the iPhone Number to Verify first.
