Q: I am locked out of my iPad. I tried signing in with my id and password and it doesn't work. It says activation required.

My iPad is telling me my Apple ID is incorrect and I can't use it to unlock this iPad. I changed my password but it isn't working either. It also is not showing on the Devices page. I was just using the iPad and hour before this happened.

    I unlock the initial page with my 4 character password to open the iPad. It then says sign into wi-fi Network, which I did, then says Activate iPad. I entered my Apple ID and Password it then says my iPad has been locked for security reasons. I went online from my PC and reset my password and tried again and now it says I have an incorrect Apple ID. It is the correct ID I have had it for more than 5 years and I am able to get into my Apple account on my PC. I don't know what happened in one hour that it doesn't work anymore. I have shut it down that did not work either. I also saw something that said the find my phone feature has been activated. I don't have an iPhone and I did not activate that feature I believe.

    Are you sure it says your iPad is locked, and not your Apple ID?

    Also, the find my iPhone feature is for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, not just the iPhone.

    This is what it says "Incorrect Apple ID" my id "********@****.net " cannot be used to unlock this iPad. but that is the correct ID. I logged into my iCloud account and apple account and it is correct. Maybe I'll just let it sit overnight and see if I can get in tomorrow, but I don't understand how it was working one minute and not the next and my Password and ID doesn't work on the iPad but works on the website.
