Mouse and Keyboard is disconnecting constantly

Hi Guys,

My Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard are disconnecting constantly. I then have to plug the lightning cable in my keyboard, turn the keyboard off, whait, then turn it on again whait again, and then repeat the same with my magic mouse. Its super annoying and im loosing time. Is this a Software Bug or Hardware related? Is there a quick fix?

Specs: Imac 5k 27", late 2015 running El Capitan.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Doesn't Really Help me at all. Nothing of this applies to me.

Your mouse or keyboard intermittently stops responding

Follow these steps if your mouse or keyboard sometimes stops responding temporarily.

Click or press a key

Click the mouse or trackpad or press a key on the keyboard to reconnect the device to the computer. It may take a moment for the device to respond.

Check for signal interference

Wireless networks that operate on 2.4GHz may cause interference. Move cordless phone base stations, microwave ovens, and other 2.4GHz electrical devices away from your Mac if you suspect interference.
Keep wireless devices within 10 meters (approximately 30 feet) of your Mac.
Avoid putting metal objects between your wireless device and your Mac.

Hi,

I had that issue and I found a solution from the internet. I went into system prefs>bluetooth>deleted the bluetooth pan by highlighting and clicking the minus. No problems since. Hope this helps.

So it still happens quite often but its faster to reconnect and i dont have to plugin the cable in anymore.

Is there any Permanent Solution? I mean it shouldn't happen at all.

Kaufmann,

One other step I did was to manually pair each device in the bluetooth setting, lower left side when you open bluetooth from system prefs.
