Are you using a wall outlet or an extension cord?
Are you using an iPhone case?
If it's just warm, I'd say it's normal. Charging does make any device heat up, so does intensive use. If it gets temperature alerts and/or if it's burning hot (burning hot : you feel like you should not be holding it, it's not confortable taking it in your hands), I'd be more concerned.

Yes, it was warm but as I compare it with iPhone 4S, getting warm rarely happened. I don't use a case fot it, the warm durable but I have to ask because its new and costly device
