Q: iPhoto 9.2.1 compatibility with El Capitan upgrade on 2007 macbook
Will I have problems with iPhoto 9.2.1 if I upgrade my late 2007 macbook (2,2; 2.16 ghz; 4GB RAM; 250GB ssd) from OS 10.6.8 to El Capitan?
MacBook (13-inch Mid 2007), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Only iPhoto 9.6.1 is compatible with El Capitan. You will need a version of iPhoto purchased from the App Store or associated with your AppleID at the AppStore to be able to update to iPhoto 9.6.1. But iPhoto updates are no longer available for the old CD versions of iPhoto. If you do not own such aversion it is too late to get it now, and you will probably not able to update to a compatible iPhoto version, unless another member of your household can family-share such a version with you.
But you will be able to migrate your iPhoto library to the new Photos for Mac application, that will be installed by El Capitan. It will migrate the iPhoto Library nearly lostlessly , so you will be able to access your pictures and save most of your editing work.
