Jul 16, 2016 1:15 PM in response to Csound1by rinny55,Okay... I think I broke my battery a little..I have 5 hours of battery...and sometimes 6 hours... then when it's on standby (my laptop top close) and I tested it..it can stay powered on when on standby for 2 days and 12 hours before dying..

Jul 17, 2016 12:20 PM in response to rinny55by K Shaffer,Be wary of allowing the portable Mac battery to run until completely flat, or near empty.
The recharge capabilities of these batteries will deteriorate; as will their overall lifespan...
Some information links; about batteries, & related topics:
• About Mac notebook batteries - Apple Support
• How to store Apple notebook computers and their batteries - Apple Support
• Batteries - Maximizing Performance - Apple:
http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/
• Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters - Apple Support
The first link, above has various information and additional links within to consider.
You may still be able to locate quality replacement batteries & magsafe adapters
from sources online, such as owc macsales.com, of good reputation; if not Apple.
Good luck & happy computing!

Jul 18, 2016 2:12 PM in response to rinny55by K Shaffer,Some models of Mac desktop computers use shared standard memory
so the total available to the system helps to be as much as it can take.
Those so made have limits; compared to separate graphics hardware.
A graphic processor (card or affixed to the logic board) usually is not an
upgradable item; some high-end Mac Pro towers may have upgrade cards.
Helps to have specific details of any model, to be able to know what it is
and engage in discussion. And to do any further research of capabilities.
For most specifications of every mac product, see: http://everymac.com
Also a database of specs can be downloaded from http://MacTracker.ca.
For towers and products with removable graphic cards where upgrade parts
may be available, to find suitable matching parts requires a detailed search.
Good luck!
