Q: Restoring iPad from backup time keeps going up

I have an iPad 2 that I've backed up. I have a new iPad Pro that I am trying to restore from that backup. The iPad 2 has 64G storage, but only about 15G is used.

When I started to restore to the new device, it said it would take 3 hours. I checked an hour later, and it said 6 hours. A few minutes later, and it says 8 hours. It this stuck? I can't imagine why the time would keep going up.

A:

I aborted the restore action by unplugging the cord. I plugged back and and "pulled" the backup file from the iPad rather than "push" it from iTunes. It's progressing quickly now.

If it applies, you must be using the same Apple ID on the iPad Pro as used on the iPad 2.
