And yes I've emptied my trash, and also the photos trash.
I only have the apps GoPro, GoPro Studio, iMovie and Lightroom installed.
I dont have Time Machine turned on also.

Very often rebuilding the Spotlight index will update the Other category to its real size.

It's a disk cleaner that does a deeper search and can find all sorts of stuff, even caches and hidden files. It has worked for me and saved my life so many times in the past.
