What, EXACTLY, are you bored with on your iPod Touch 6th gen.

It's not any too different from an iPhone without the phone part.

Runs all of the same apps. Plays all the same music/video apps and gaming apps.

Things that iPod can improve

GPS

Better battery life

Water proof because some people will listen to music while having a shower

A better black color instead of space grey

Camera flushed with the aluminum body

Iphone se design

Better processor, A8 is kind of laggy for 3d games

Stereo speakers

I'll second the polished jet black finish on a new iPod Touch model/generation.

If possible, the stereo speakers, too!

Water proofing would be nice, but I think waterporoof/water resistant mobile devices would cost appreciably more to design and build.

I really do not want to pay $500+ for an iPod Touch!

i want a ipod touch 7 also i have a 6 and i had a ipod 5 before it and i was really hoping for touch id and a 12 mp camera like the 6s did. i think apple should keep the ipod touch going strong is because some parents dont want there kids to have phones yet so the ipod is like a sollution to that problem when i was 13 i got a ipod 4g bc my dad didnt want me to have a phone yet and i upgraded every year now i have a iphone SE but i still think apple should make ipod touch 7 gen and a bigger color variety would be good too like jet black or a yellow and/or a purple color again and maybe a 4.7 in model would be nice

I just bought my third (maybe fourth) iPod touch and I see some differences. Has me a bit confused.

Irregardless it does need to be upgraded. Need faster internet speed, couldn't possibly be my wifi connection and connecting it to my iphone SE seems to be slower, lagging in games already etc.

Wifi on my Wifi only iPod Touch 6th gen works just dandy and is very speedy.

I suggest you double check your MODEM/router's WiFi settings and other settings and your iPod Touch's connection to your iPhone could be, in fact, slower, if you are using a portable MiFi device between your iPod Touch 6th gen and an iPhone.

That could be a functional limitation of the Mifi device you are using with your iPhone/iPod Touch and NOT, neccessarily, an issue with your 6th gen iPod Touch.

I definitely think Apple should make a 4.7" iPod model. It should definitely come with touch ID. And I should definitely have 256 gigs of storage. It should definitely have a better rear camera and a better front facing camera. The iPod touch is a very useful device. Apple is really dropping the ball on it and even if they have to charge an extra hundred dollars they should just to keep the standards high and the quality high. Apple is trying to keep the focus on the iPhone but even with the features I just listed the iPod cannot replace the iPhone. Apple doesn't understand that people would buy both.

I haven't bought a new iPod since I got my first iPhone. The iPhone isn't just a replacement for my iPod, it's orders of magnitude more useful.

Keep in mind that people post in this forum from all over the world. They have many different native languages. It is quite possible that the original poster may be writing in a second language. They may also be posting from phone with all the joys of autocorrect.

One can clearly see from his comments that english is his first language. He is just to lazy to write properly and uses cell phone lingo to communicate in the real world. It’s ridiculous to use these shortcuts in a forum of this kind.

Having taught English as a second language, I can tell you that it's not always as easy to tell from writing what someone's native language is as you seem to assume. I could assume from your scolding of the poster that you're a rude person but I could very well be wrong. So, I try not to make judgments based on such limited data.

When I call attention to such usage, I point out to the poster that it makes their post harder to understand, especially by people who's native language is not English and who may be using a translation program. I point out that, if people can't understand their post, it decreases the number and quality of the answers they get. However, there was no technical support question there. And, they posted a year ago.

You best be careful cause they're most likely going to do the dumbest thing in the universe that Apple has ever done and that's to take away the headphone jack. Imagine? taking away the headphone jack from an iPod touch? I have always owned all iPod touches, and iPhones. I refused to get the iPhone 7 because Im irresponsible with wireless headphones and will probably forget to charge them constantly. I will also not buy a music device that does not have a headphone jack, that's beyond ridiculous.

I don't understand what the problem is. Apple includes both a set of headphones that work with the lightning connector and an adapter so that you can use the wired headphones of your choice.

I've also wondered if Apple is going to release the iPod Touch 7 , but I'm not too worried about. I have the 6th generation and am happy with that. I got rid of my 4th generation, and moved on from that. One of the reasons I wanted the 6th generation was because the 4th generation wouldn't update anymore... and the apps I wanted (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.) wouldn't update anymore. Like I was saying, I'm happy with what I've got. Sure, it would be nice if they made a 7, but I don't think it's gonna happen. If it did, though, hopefully Apple wouldn't make the same mistake with the iPhone 7 in removing the headphone jack.
