Q: I have set up my Macbook air so I can use the Japanese Keyboard. But it looks like only about half of the letters are actually appearing in Japanese. How do I fix this to use the entire Japanese keyboard?

I have just set up my MacBook Air (Yosemite system) to use the Japanese keyboard, but only some of the letters appear in Japanese. How can I fix this?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Perhaps if you were to tell how you restored keyboard function in Japanese
that may be helpful to someone who happens across this thread later on.

Glad to hear you resolved the issue; presumably the cause was not hardware.
