Q: how to add more aiff sound clips into sound folder/library on macbook pro

I have tried numerous times to add an AIFF sound clip to my sound library by converting it in itunes and for some reason cannot drag and drop it in the sound folder? I have looked at permission and that does not seem to be the problem. not sure what I am doing wrong but seems like its should be easy to do but I cant crack the code. anyone else have any ideas?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

There is a way to disable it (meaning: SIP), but be sure to enable it again afterwards: http://osxdaily.com/2015/10/05/disable-rootless-system-integrity-protection-mac- os-x/
