My Passport for Mac

I have a My passport for Mac and just uploaded pictures to it to make space on my computer. When i clicked on it to triple check if they were there, a message popped up saying that I no longer had permission to access the content. Only a minute before I had opened the passport and seen the pictures and all my files.
