Trying to BC Windows on my MBP 13" e2011.

Been lurking on google and probably about 10 forums for the past 3 days trying to figure this out.

i'm trying to bootcamp windows 7 to my macbook. I've read enough to know I can't use a USB to do this and I'm not going to W10, I'm on El Capitan. I have the ISO file on my desktop, but i don't know what to do with it because I feel like the apple instructions are more geared towards a USB install. I was considering downgrading back to yosemite if possible. help?

Doing this in El Capitan shouldn't be a problem: Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support

You cannot install Windows with BootCamp from a disk image mounted on the Mac desktop. You’ll need to create a bootable installer on either a DVD or 4GB flash drive. See this site for instructions, scroll down for the Win7 instructions and then keep scrolling down until you see the instructions for doing this on a Mac.
